Title: Technician I
Reports To: Group Lead
Schedule: Night Shift/ Mon - Thurs, 3PM - 1:30AM, (4 day, 10hrs)
Pay: $17.50 5% Shift Differential
Summary: This is an entry level Technician position. The Associate may have little or no experience with manufacturing machines or process operations. They may have only limited technical skills. They can work on non-complex jobs or highly repetitive machines or process operations following prescribed routine or where the method of operation is obvious. Has the ability to follow demonstrated steps and perform simple adjusting to produce to a general specification. They will develop a complete understanding of hand assembly and packaging operations. This Technician position is expected to have a working knowledge of acceptable product quality, processes and procedures. With or without training, they are able to safely run machines or processes, but may have little or no knowledge about set up or troubleshooting.
Responsibilities/Duties include but are not limited to:
- Communicate rate deficiencies to management per work instructions
- Perform quality process inspections per quality department procedures and engineering work instructions and document results or as instructed
- Positively contribute to company's safety, quality and production goals
- Responsible for reporting to management any unsafe working conditions
- Responsible for accurate entries in the computer time clock system
- Develop satisfactory packaging and assembly skills
- Read and understand basic prints
Accountabilities:
- Accountable for achieving Safety goals requirements for position.
- Accountable for accurate documentation audits with no findings.
- Accountable to achieve goal for profit contribution dollars.
- Accountable for on-time delivery to promise date.
- Achieve product and service quality goals.
- Implement improvements to current and new production runs with supporting documentation.
- Accountable for meeting quarterly attendance goals.
- Accountable for completing personal learning and development goals
Training/Education/Experience
- High School education or equivalent
- Up to 2 years manufacturing experience preferred; medical manufacturing experience a plus
- With training, able to read and understand print drawings
- Proficient PC skills
- Competencies/Talents/Personal Attributes:
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Detail oriented
- Positive attitude and a team player
- Can speak, understand and write English
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
