Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Innkeeper to join our team and help create memorable experiences for our guests. The Innkeeper will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the inn, maintaining the highest standards of service, and cultivating a welcoming environment that reflects the essence of Newport's hospitality.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing a personalized check-in experience and assisting with luggage if needed.
• Manage reservations, including booking rooms, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records in the property management system.
• Coordinate with housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are cleaned and prepared to the highest standards before guest arrivals.
• Oversee breakfast service, including preparing and serving meals, replenishing buffet items, and accommodating dietary restrictions or special requests.
• Provide concierge services to guests, offering recommendations for dining, entertainment, and local attractions, and assisting with booking reservations or arranging transportation.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally, striving to exceed expectations and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and aesthetic appeal of common areas, including the lobby, dining area, and outdoor spaces.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and promptly address any issues or repairs to ensure the safety, comfort, and functionality of the inn.
• Manage inventory of supplies, including food and beverage items, linens, toiletries, and guest amenities, and place orders as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing guidance, support, and training to staff members as needed.
• Uphold Hydrangea House Inn's values of hospitality, integrity, and attention to detail in all interactions with guests and colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
• Strong organizational abilities, with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and conscientious, with a focus on maintaining cleanliness, order, and safety throughout the inn.
• Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the needs of the business and ensure coverage during peak times.

Additionally, we may have the ability to offer housing accommodations for eligible candidates if the need arises.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
