What is INNSBROOK?
A vacation home community located just 30 minutes west of St. Charles, Innsbrook’s 7,500 acres include recreational and residential properties, an event center, public restaurant and 18-hole public course. Innsbrook is a multi-faceted event venue which hosts a variety of events including weddings, corporate conferences, concerts, banquets and more.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Chef to lead, mentor and manage our restaurant menu and culinary team. This position is a great fit for anyone who enjoys providing a high standard of service and quality.
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
- Producing high quality plates both in design and taste
- Preparing all food items accurately in a timely manner
- Assisting Executive Chef in maintaining budgeted food cost, through efficient inventories, product selection, menu creation and other related operational food and beverage costs
- Prepare and assist in creative but practical diagrams and layouts for tables, buffet lines and stations
- Ensuring that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Executive Chef
- May be required to assist in other Innsbrook kitchens such as the Market Café & Creamery, Aspen Center or Summerhaus, as directed by Executive Chef
- Work with the Executive Chef on menu planning, prep and execution
Requirements:
- 4 years of kitchen experience
- ServSafe certified
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
- Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs; Outlook, Word and Excel
- Previous Experience: Prior Banquet/Restaurant experience
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance

- Ensure the complete administration and execution of all service and planned events
- Provide a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with safety
- programs, Health Department requirements and job safety analysis
- Maintain and enforce sanitation laws and safety standards with anyone
- entering the kitchen area
- Inspect food and beverage outlets for proper storage, sanitation, security, neatness and rotation of inventory
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
