Inova Staffing is seeking a skilled and motivated Metal Cutting Operator to join our team. If you are passionate about precision cutting, have a keen eye for detail, we have a position for you.
Position Overview:
You will be responsible for operating various saws and cutting equipment to accurately and efficiently cut metal materials according to specifications. Your attention to detail, commitment to safety, and dedication to producing precise cuts will contribute to our continued success.
Compensation/Hours:
- 1st shift Monday-Friday plus OT 6am-2:30pm $16-16.50/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate metal cutting machinery such as bandsaws, circular saws, or plasma cutters.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate cutting.
- Measure and mark materials to be cut, ensuring precision and minimal waste.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure its proper functioning.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and timelines.
- Inspect and verify the quality of cut materials, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Keep records of materials used and completed tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Metal Cutting Operator or similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with metal cutting equipment and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
