IAA, Inc. is seeking a Scrum Master Project Lead to join our corporate team in Westchester, IL.
The Scrum Master Project Lead will conduct or oversee Agile Scrum ceremonies, which include sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives. Responsible for facilitating the removal of impediments via direct ownership, coaching team ownership, or driving outside resources.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to the following):
- Conduct or oversee Agile Scrum ceremonies, which include sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives
- Provide visibility into team progress, impediments, iteration/sprint health
- Responsible for facilitating the removal of impediments via direct ownership, coaching team ownership, or driving outside resources
- Track and report iteration progress
- Empower the team to self-organize within the guardrails of IAA/Scrum methodology while fostering healthy and engaging team environments.
- Assist with impediments removal
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
- Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the Delivery Team(s), coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and IAA Business Technology
- Assist Teams in managing and organizing the Backlog to assure priorities and ownership are clear
- Assist with building a trusting and safe environment for the designated Delivery Teams where problems can be raised without fear of blame with an emphasis of problem solving
- Providing all required support to Delivery Team(s) using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience with Scrum methodology
- Experience with Agile tools/reporting
- Servant Leader
- Skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
- Ability to support and collaborate with 4-5 designated Delivery Teams
- Demonstrated knowledge of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work with teams in multiple sites (onsite, offshore)
- Understanding of accountability and ownership
- Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in either business, technology, engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5 Years Agile Experience
- Scrum Master Certification (nice to have)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
