Duties :
Under direction, performs varied clerical and secretarial duties for and relieves supervisor of minor administrative duties.
Maintains a close and highly responsive relationship to the day to day work activities of the office of the supervisor. Work requires knowledge of programs and procedures relating to the work of the supervisor, as well as other departmental personnel.
The Secretary II is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.
This position will support the department’s Executive Director. Key job duties include managing the Executive Director’s calendar, scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, collecting and entering bi-weekly time-sheets into the payroll system, managing association memberships and dues, processing expense reports and purchase requisitions, maintaining the department’s approved absence calendar and remote work schedules, and taking meeting notes as required.
Education / Experience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); a minimum of one year specialized training in related area; and minimum of three years’ related clerical / secretarial experience in a general office environment required.
Associate’s degree preferred.
Note : Updated requirement - Software and skills proficiency testing for the specific position will be required upon hire and must be successfully completed within the probationary period, if this testing has not been previously completed.
