Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Compliance Specialist for a permanent, direct hire opportunity in the Lexington, KY area for a global leader in manufacturing personal protective equipment for various industries, such as emergency response, life sciences, and industrial health and safety. The Compliance Specialist will focus on technical documentation coordination, product compliance specifications, and certifications. The position will work closely with internal cross-functional product development teams and external third-party test labs and regulatory agencies to ensure global PPE regulatory certifications are obtained as per the project schedule. The individual in this role is responsible for coordinating internal pre-compliance testing and preparing laboratory test reports. They also handle other detailed applications and technical documentation for regulatory submissions. Ideally, they can consult with internal teams and provide advice on electrical/electronic designs. They assist in coordinating global PPE certification activities with regulatory agencies and third-party test laboratories. Their responsibilities include procuring and preparing test samples for third-party lab testing and certification. They also procure and upload supplier data sheets into software to analyze materials for compliance and communicate findings with cross-functional teams. They are expected to develop a working knowledge of the requirements for global regulatory certification for company products. This includes understanding international PPE performance standards and regulatory agency requirements. They maintain a compliance documentation repository, which includes the storage, tracking, and maintenance of all test reports, certificates, compliance engineering data, and submission documentation. They facilitate requests, both internal and external, for public-facing compliance documentation. They are also responsible for the routing, processing, and tracking of purchase orders and invoices for the compliance group. This is a full-time permanent role with an incredibly employee focused manufacturing company in the Lexington area.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s in in Science, Automotive, Research, Data Analytics or similar
- Experience developing and updating regulatory processes and procedures
- Experience reading, interpretation and writing of technical documentation
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience in project management
- Experience working in fire safety, protection, government, medical, or manufacturing fields
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
