JOB DESCRIPTION
This defense optoelectronic company are looking Electronics Assemblers to join their Production Team. This person will be responsible for assembling and testing electro-mechanical components, subassemblies, products, and/or systems. He/She will connect component lead wires to printed circuits or routes and connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points. Additionally this person will Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in enclosures and housings. Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, purging and labeling assemblies. He/She will operate test equipment, DVM, and Laser Power meters. Performs online go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards. Reads work orders, follows assembly documents, production drawings, sample assemblies and verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other using jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices. Crimps, screws, bolts, solders, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Previous assembly experience (small part assembly preferred but open to large part assembly)
- Experience working with Epoxy for the use of bonding together parts
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
