JOB DESCRIPTION
- Manage the Exchange Online service which would include managing projects such as the migration of the different kind of mailboxes (user, shared, etc.). Manage day to day service-related issues as they come up and plan for new features as they are released by Microsoft.
- Understand new service-related enhancements and / or changes with Exchange Online and respond with a review of the situation and a strategy to manage.
- Have an intimate understanding of mail flow, which will include the architecture to other technologies impacting mail flow like Cloud Email Security (Cisco) / SMTP relays and other related technologies.
- Oversight of the reliability process for Exchange services including operational and basic productivity service performance, significant trends and recommended actions, high priority problems and associated action plans, potential risk of the overall environment and future recommendations for tool, operational, and process improvements. Interact with any support teams necessary.
- Develop timely, cost effective and integrated basic productivity service solutions for J&J that improve and optimized delivery performance, enhance security compliance, enhance operational reliability and flexibility and reduce costs.
- Familiar with the Exchange 2016 on-premise architecture and service.
- Have a firm understanding of PowerShell. Able to write simple scripts that can function in automation.
- Continually look for ways to improve and then implement these improvements for the service.
- Coordinate and execute all Technology Lifecycle Management activities for the service.
- Enable the proactive measuring, monitoring, and reporting of the service.
- Stay informed on all industry technology advances in email.
- Lead technical project teams to ensure objectives.
- Ensure operational support for collaboration services is functioning properly.
- Ensure all compliance responsibilities are met.
- Create documentation that is deemed necessary to operationalize any part of the service.
- Understanding of how Azure AD applications function and connect to the Exchange Online service.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Very strong technical knowledge and experience of enterprise level infrastructure operations, with a focus on Exchange and Outlook.
- Deep technical knowledge and experience of enterprise level infrastructure engineering and development, with a focus on Exchange and Outlook.
- Experience with executing large enterprise development projects.
- Ability to consistently apply broad knowledge of system engineering to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure problems.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Expertise in the following technical areas: Exchange, Outlook, Office 365
- Expertise in developing and deploying enterprise end user solutions with a proven track record of success operating in a complex, ambiguous environment; preferably in global health care organization.
- Proven experience delivering large projects in a global context.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate across all management and organizational levels.
- Prior training in how to use Dev/Ops for IT functions.
