Must Haves:
At least 2 years of experience working with behavioral health patients in inpatient group settings.
Experience with conducting 15-20 person group therapy sessions to deliver curriculum and instruction.
Holds an associate degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
Must have at minimum a CAC-AD and CAC Approved Supervisors license.
Plusses:

Day to day:
An employer is searching for a Group Facilitator in the Waldorf, MD area. The Group Facilitator is responsible for the delivery of Substance Abuse curriculum for patients in residential and IOP recovery programs, as well as supervision of A&D trainee status staff. The curriculum, and training, will be provided for the facilitator to ensure quality and consistency in its delivery. The facilitator will be responsible for 15-20, 1-hour groups per week and trainee staff supervision. The facilitator will also be required to attend staff meetings and trainings as assigned. These groups will be 12-step so experience with 12-step group therapy is important. This team also has expressive therapy that includes arts and music therapy for patients. The curriculum is already structured and in place so the delivery here is what is most important.
