JOB DESCRIPTION

An employer in the Downtown Houston, TX area is looking for two Operations Volume Analysts. This role will consist of financial recording and tracking of the physical movement of crude from the point of origin to its destination, in support of the crude trading business. They must take in the data of up to 15-20 trucking companies at a time and convert the data from Excel or PDF documents into a separate Excel document to prepare it for the analysts on the team in a timely manner. This person must be able to resolve issues with customers and communicate with counter-parties via phone and email on a daily basis. Lastly, duties include resolving any volume discrepancies with the counter-parties, managing losses/preventing profit loss, and reporting all crude movement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree (in any field)

Advanced level Excel experience (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, macros)

Strong Accounting background

Experience working with large sets of data

DESIRED SKILLS

Prior exposure to crude trading, trucking/shipping, inventory, all within oil/gas

Experience with analytics/reporting tools (QlikView, Tableau, Spotfire)
