Job Summary:
Our educational facility is seeking an empathetic and approachable Social Worker to help inspire, collaborate, and interact with our youth and staff to help promote a positive and nurturing environment for our students. This professional will provide support through one-on-one and small group sessions to facilitate the emotional wellbeing of our students. We may have students who have an IEP, 504 or are “At-Risk”, therefore this professional will create and implement behavior plans specific to the student’s individualized needs,
Shift: 20 hours per week; Monday - Thursday
Duties:
- Effectively plans and executes behavioral interventions based on the student
- Implements behavior plan with students and/or small groups
- Maintains communication with internal staff members and leaders involving any concerns and updates
- Designs behavior plan based on student’s individual needs
- Support classroom teachers by way of strategies and resources
- Maintains focus on the student’s social and emotional wellbeing
Qualifications:
- Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Bachelor's degree required related to field of Social Work; Master’s degree preferred
- Certification strongly preferred; previous experience required (2 years)
- Previous experience within a classroom setting is preferred
- Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy.
- Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement.
- Able to work compassionately with students and coworkers
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and drive.
