Overview
The Manager, Corporate Communications, will serve as a key member of Insmed’s growing Corporate Communications team, supporting social, digital, and internal communications. The Manager will primarily be responsible for the content and strategy of Insmed’s corporate social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, any future platforms), Insmed’s corporate website assets, including insmed.com, and the Company intranet. The Manager will also support the team with general communications activities as needed.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about engaging with both employees and external stakeholders and who will proactively bring forward ideas to keep our robust corporate properties fresh, ensuring they reflect the most important aspects of our business and culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong pulse on how the biopharmaceutical industry is leveraging various social and digital channels to maximize reach and impact with a variety of audiences, including current and prospective employees, potential partners, patients and advocates, and media and investors. Strong writing and editing skills and comfort with various technologies will help the ideal candidate succeed.
This role reports to the Director, Corporate Communications.
Responsibilities
Additional representative responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
- Support the team in managing all corporate social media content, including partnering with PR agency on paid and organic content development and strategy, and managing the internal approval process
- Keep a pulse on internal and external milestones that should be featured on social media and/or the intranet and proactively propose content ideas to recognize them
- Liaise with various departments and employees to feature relevant updates, quotes, images, etc. on social and internal feeds
- Proactively propose ideas for building thought leadership and reputation across social channels
- Keep a pulse on peer landscape as it relates to social trends, campaigns, new platforms, etc.
- Partner closely with PR agency on social media monitoring; appropriately flag any potential issues
- Own Company policies related to corporate social media and manage updates as needed
- Support employee engagement on Company intranet by proposing new content and ideas, gathering feedback from cross-functional colleagues, and assessing success metrics
- Draft internal articles for the intranet and manage publication of newsfeed, in partnership with Director; support approval process as needed
- Work with cross-functional teams to support departmental communications as appropriate
- Provide general administrative support for the Company intranet, including uploading materials and making minor content updates
- Manage content on digital boards throughout Insmed’s headquarters
- Manage ongoing maintenance of corporate website (insmed.com), including periodic updates to keep site current; liaise with digital agency and internal reviewers on content updates
- Proactively propose enhancements to corporate website and work with digital agency to execute
- Support the management of larger-scale corporate website refreshes when needed, working closely with Director and Executive Director
- Support the Communications team in keeping corporate materials and brand assets current
Qualifications
About You:
- 4-6 years’ experience in social, digital, and employee communications within a corporate communications function
- Healthcare/biopharma experience required (agency or in-house)
- Active on social media with a strong understanding of different platforms and how our industry uses them
- Design and/or video editing skills preferred but not required
- Back-end experience with content management systems preferred but not required
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a proven ability to juggle priorities and keep multiple workstreams moving
- Strong writing skills required
- Bachelor’s degree required
Travel Requirements
Up to 10% travel.
