Our client operates as the North America division of a prominent global leader in the field of technology product distribution, high-touch support, and complex design services with a substantial financial footprint. They cater to OEM companies, especially those involved in the creation of cutting-edge video, imaging, networking, and storage products. Their specialized team collaborates closely with customers and clients to assess, suggest, and procure optimal components, boards, modules, displays, IP cores, and software.
As the HR Generalist, you will perform activities in the Human Resources Department assisting transactional support for the following areas through interactive process development and facilitation of recruitment, on-boarding, benefits and compensation administration, termination, and performance management to enhance and maintain a desirable environment in alignment with our client’s company culture. A discretion in handling sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality, and being able to maintain effective working relationships with all employees are essential in this role.
To succeed, you should have:
- Bachelor's degree in HR; coursework in HR is advantageous.
- 2 years of prior experience in Human Resources.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, along with strong interpersonal skills.
- Solid organizational skills, prioritization abilities, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Self-driven individual capable of swiftly acquiring new procedures and processes.
- Demonstrated aptitude in time management and organization.
- Ability to always handle confidential information with discretion.
Your key responsibilities as the Human Resources Generalist will include:
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding, including orientation, file creation, handbook administration, and paperwork submission.
- Assist in the full hiring process, from recruitment to interviews, reference checks, and candidate tracking.
- Implement Performance Management program, conducting regular check-ins to ensure scheduled reviews.
- Collaborate with HR partner to address concerns regarding employee satisfaction, performance, safety, and culture.
- Track and manage benefits enrollment deadlines, including insurance, 401k, and other benefits.
- Address paycheck issues and process payroll if needed, liaising with Payroll Department.
- Manage workers' compensation reports and communicate updates to management.
- Handle leave of absence paperwork coordination.
- Coordinate termination paperwork and route unemployment and disability claims.
- Assist employees with employment verifications as needed.
