TITLE:  Global Vice-President, Enterprise Data and Analytics # 11100 JOB ID:  11100 LOCATION:  Chicago Loop preferred.  Open remote to anywhere in US (except NY, NJ or CA) if willing to travel monthly to Chicago SALARY:  $250k - $285k 30% bonus STATUS:  US Citizen or Green Card Holders Only. Must be US-based  About the Client: Join a global organization that is using data and innovation to manage supply chain optimization.  About the Global Vice-President, Enterprise Data and Analytics Role: The VP Enterprise Data and Analytics Enablement leader is responsible for developing, communicating, and executing the strategic direction for global enterprise information, data and analytics capabilities including governance, solutioning, engineering, integration, delivery, security, and operations. As a member of the Senior Technology Leadership Team and partnering closely with the business unit data and analytics leaders and stakeholder community, this leader will identify the enterprise data/information opportunities and needs across the organization’s businesses, and design and deploy solutions that ensure high-quality, internal, and externally sourced data, is available to deliver insights for better business decisions and to enable strategic growth.  The leader will ensure that the data capabilities are leveraged effectively and consistently across business units, ensuring compliance to enterprise data standards, governance, security, and frameworks. They will seek to drive data & analytics R&D and innovation where appropriate, sharpening the organization’s competitive edge.     About the Global Vice-President, Enterprise Data and Analytics Responsibilities:  Deliver Data Strategy and Data and Analytics Services Globally
  • Develop, communicate, and deploy a comprehensive enterprise-wide data and analytics strategy in close collaboration with the business unit data leaders to deliver next-generation, positive business outcomes. 
  • Seek opportunities to leverage data and advanced analytics across business units to generate new insights and sources of revenue.
  • Lead the architecture, engineering, integration, and operations of the Data Platform including the data and analytics roadmap of capabilities, data sources and analytics needs balancing multiple business and technology priorities.
  • Develop and implement an Enterprise Information Management strategy to ensure the master data is managed efficiently and enables products and analysis.
  • Work with data product owners to clean, transform and load data to the Data Platform.  Assist the data product owners with data governance activities and execute any relevant technical tasks required by the data product owners.  
  • Implement and maintain a Data Catalogue containing a comprehensive list of all data sources including attributes, data definitions, lineage, and access
  • Ensure ongoing support and operations of data collection and access for enterprise data and legacy systems.
Orchestrate Data Governance Processes Globally
  • Collaborate with data product owners globally to ensure data governance practices are effective and efficient while leveraging best practices across the organization.
  • Facilitate cross-enterprise data governance to ensure alignment and visibility of the enterprise data strategy.
  • Establish and assist data stewards by providing training and information across the enterprise data stewardship community.
Maintain Alignment with Enterprise Architecture
  • Collaborate on technologies used to onboard, integrate, store, and analyze data.
  • Explore new data technologies, bring outside-in perspectives to the organization, and evaluate new data capabilities that can bring value and support our growth and ensure compatibility with a long-term technology vision.
  • Provide support for innovation initiatives.
  • Maintain inventory of data technology assets including the strategic direction of each asset.
Collaborate with other Enterprise Services
  • Work within the governance framework to ensure that enterprise data and analytics services are supporting the most important initiatives.
  • Partner with the Security team to ensure that all data and analytics capabilities are built with the required security standards and data privacy protections.
  • Partner with the Global Services and Infrastructure teams to ensure that we leverage existing standards and processes.
About the Global Vice-President, Enterprise Data and Analytics Requirements:
  • 15 years global technology industry experience of which at least 5 in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience managing departmental budgets and past P&L ownership.
  • Multi-disciplinary information, data and technology background covering software engineering, data architecture, data management, data science, advanced analytics, cloud infrastructure and / or others.
  • BS/MS Computer science or engineering degree preferred, or equivalent experience
