Under general direction of the IOA Director of Purchasing, this position is responsible for reviewing and negotiating Vendor Agreements, Letters of Agreement, Memorandums of Understanding, Provider Agreements, Independent Contractor Agreements, Leases, and any other contracts made between IOA and outside entities. Additionally, the Contract Specialist will work to assure success of contract performance and support contract disputes, as necessary. Other duties may include training and education of IOA employees regarding contracts. Will also be tasked with special projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
EXPERIENCE:
This position requires at least five year experience with contracts, contract negotiation and administration, and negotiations in a Purchasing role.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
The candidate must have solid negotiation skills. In addition, the candidate must have strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, verbal and written skills to communicate at all levels of the organization.
