We are seeking a HR Director to join the team. The right person has experience overseeing HR systems, handling employee relations, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing budgets, assessing staffing needs, hiring employees, designing training programs, and developing compensation plan. They are a leader of People and Culture and will be passionate about working within the business as a true business partner. You will be the leader responsible for driving the company’s future through people operations and cultivation of a positive culture through teamwork, solution-orientation, and growth focus. This is a hands-on role where you have experience scaling a start-up and will be responsible for talent acquisition and retention, policy development, compensation, benefits, employee relations, coaching, training, risk management and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Talent management
o Identifying an organization’s needs and working to create and implement an efficient talent acquisition, retention and development strategy to improve business performance
o Developing effective strategies for identifying skills gaps within the workforce
o Understanding the current recruitment trends and the organization’s markets to identify the impact upon the business
o Anticipating the organization’s future and working with senior executives to advise on retention tactics that will help to sustain the company’s success
o Developing and implementing strategies to attract diverse candidates to all areas of the business
o Developing best in class new employee onboarding experience
- Learning and Development
o Organize and oversee individual and team training programs
o Partnering with 3rd party trainers for on-going organization wide training
o Implementing open-source training platforms for all employees
- Employee Engagement
o Responsible for managing employee relation matters in ways consistent with our values and standards.
o Working with employees at all levels to drive adoption of overall People & Culture programs by educating, supporting and influencing employees.
o Consulting managers on retention, development, and engagement strategies utilizing our programs and practices.
o Developing relationships with the employees and become someone who is sought for advice and counsel on HR, cultural, and organizational issues. Facilitate integration of diverse workgroups and cultures
Performance Management
o Conducting exit interviews and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
o Managing annual performance evaluation process
- Culture
o Creating and managing cultural initiatives that align with our action pillars
o Be a key driver of teamwork and a positive culture within the organization
o Help build a culture of teamwork, accountability, openness, collaboration and growth
Compliance
o Understanding of labor legislation
o Ability to use the relevant Human Resources tools
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred with 7 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years of experience in leadership roles. Certification in HR a plus
- Exceptional interpersonal skill, able to establish credibility, communicate authentically and consult effectively

- Strong attention to detail, well organized
- Able to adapt to change and manage stress in a healthy and constructive way
- Broad generalist background including coaching and counseling, performance management, employee involvement, teambuilding, as well as compensation and benefits
- Technology driven with both an understanding and desire to use technology to increase efficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Docs and Google Sheets, Slack
- Ability to lead and engage multifunctional teams with focus on delivering results
