Principal Technician

Pay rate: $33-38/hr
Duration: Temp to Perm Assignment
Shift: Day shift only

Description

• Participate with cross-functional team to assemble, debug, and verify product designs through all phases of development.
• Perform soldering, rework, and assembly of fine-pitch integrated circuits on PCBA.
• Read circuit schematics for performing redline corrections where required.
• Assembly and crimp system power and signal electrical cables.
• Draft and release system and PCBA assembly manufacturing and work instructions.
• Draft and release cable diagrams and drawings.
• Collaborate with all cross-functional teams to assemble, rework, and test designs.
• Construct and rework R&D test systems and product prototypes.
• Perform hands-on bench test and circuit debug per engineering instructions.
• Effectively document work throughout the development process through all phases.
• Collaborate on the design and assembly of the electronics enclosure.
• Proactively update team members on technical issues, support tickets, status, and planning of feature requests.
• Develop test protocols and execute engineering evaluation and design verification tests.

Required Skills, Abilities & Experience

• 8 years of experience in a regulated industry
• Experience in working on prototypes and other early-stage activities in the product design/development process
• Solder rework of fine pitch integrated circuits on PCB assemblies.
• Documentation of manufacturing and work instructions about PCB and cable assemblies
• Ability to read circuit schematics.
• Experience with electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and DVMs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding PCB layout with Altium Designer or experience with a similar tool is a plus.
• Experience in the Medical Device field is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $33.00 - $38.00 per hour
