Job Summary : IDD crisis staff provide crisis prevention and management to individuals and their systems of support who are diagnosed with intellectual and / or developmental disabilties.
Individuals served may also have cooccurring disorders such as severe mental illnesses, substance use disorders and / or chronic health conditions.
IDD crisis staff operate in a dynamic environment, develop extensive knowledge of community resources, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and cultivate a clinical skill-set by forging therapeutic relationships with diverse community members.
Interventions and services are typically provided in the community and require the use of a personal automobile and cell phone.
IDD crisis staff work in partnership with racially and culturally diverse individuals to define and facilitate their desired life outcomes.
IDD crisis staff may participate in diagnostic evaluations and provide assessment of strengths, preferences, functional impairments and symptoms of psychiatric and / or co-occurring disorder(s) at regular intervals to ensure optimal and personalized services.
Frequent service coordination with external and internal providers is necessary to support individuals in preventing and managing crises.
IDD crisis staff may provide all or some of the following : deliver therapeutic interventions fostering skills necessary to manage symptoms / crises, provide support / training to the system of support, or to obtain services such as school, medical cara, nutritional assistance, financial assistance, transportation, legal assistance, and resources fulfilling any basic need.
Although staff members in this position are not typically LPHA's, staff members in this position are working under the supervision of an LPHA who provides ongoing evaluation and oversight of all assessments, diagnoses and treatment.
Additional job duties maybe as assigned to meet the needs of the program.

Graduated from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Human / Behavioral / Social Services or related field.
License : Required :

Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

- One year working with IDD population.
- Bilingual preferred.
Hours : Part-Time.
Workdays : Monday-Friday.
Workhours : 20-25 hours per week.
Salary : $22.35 - $23.47 an hour.
