IT Specialist

Integration Charter Schools (ICS) is seeking to hire an IT Specialist to provide school-level technology support for our charter schools. Responsibilities will include technical support for principals, teachers, students, administrative staff, as well as providing technology resources within ICS. Candidate will collaborate with instructional and administrative staff to support building level technology needs and identify technology solutions based on analysis of users support needs.

IT Specialist candidate will:

- Provide general support for classrooms computing devices, projectors, Chromebooks, Tablets, document camera, Smart Boards, printers, etc., by troubleshooting issues, and helping users with basic instructions on the use of these devices.
- Provide support in accessing supplemental instructional software, MS office, Adobe, Google Docs, Google Classroom, Google meet, ZOOM, etc.
- Provide support in accessing administrative software, ICS websites, PowerSchool, G-suite & Outlook email, etc.
- Provide school support for PC, Chromebook device management and monitoring inventory of equipment and applications.
- Provide school support for managing computer labs and carts, by regularly inventorying equipment, and making sure devices are in working order and software is up to date.
- Respond to ICS information systems work orders and staff related questions.

- Maintain knowledge of cybersecurity trends and activities.

- Monitor the Service Desk and update the tickets accordingly. Manage and maintain the inventory database.

- Set up google email accounts for new users and create users’ groups.

- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, phones, networks, multi-function printers.

Candidate should have 3 yrs experience using PC Windows, Macintosh OSX, document scanners, document cameras, SmartBoards, Tablets and Chromebooks. Typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, printers, etc. Software used includes Microsoft Office suite, email systems, web browsers, Google suite, Adobe Acrobat and PowerSchool.

Knowledge of cybersecurity and network vulnerability and penetration tests.

Knowledge of ACCESS database or similar and running inventory reports

Candidate must possess a Bachelors degree in computer science or the equivalent and a minimum of three years of experience in technology support including remote support, or related experience required.
