Overview
i3 is seeking a candidate in support of the Air Ground Interoperability and Integration Lab (AGIIL) Team. This individual will support rapid prototype integration and test of aviation-based networks and attached equipment. Daily duties will be conducted at the S3I on Redstone Arsenal, AL.
Responsibilities
Those duties will include but are not limited to:
- Interact with outside teams to coordinate platform availability and configurations
- Provide informal training
- Identify and document system engineering requirements from customer documentation
- Analyze and author test plans and procedures
- Perform general lab integration activities, and
- Demonstrate system capabilities both in the lab and in the field.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math field including the computer sciences. 6 years of additional work may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- 3-10 Years of Military Communications Systems Experience
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Willing to travel outside of the United States
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work outside when required (sometimes in austere and difficult environments)
Candidates should:
- Have field Support or Technical Training experience
- Have a solid understanding of IP networks
- Be able to setup, deploy and Operate Windows and Linux Operating Systems
- Have experience deploying Virtual Machines, ESXi, VMWare, QKVM
- Be familiar with network data collection systems such as Wireshark
- Have knowledge of military radio systems and waveforms such as TSM, Link16, and MUOS
- Have experience with the setup and deployment of appropriate radio antenna systems
- Have experience with Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI), COMSEC, and common fill devices
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Have knowledge of Blue Force Tracking systems
- Have knowledge of Nett-Warrior software ATAK and WINTAK
Exceptional Candidates will:
- Be familiar with Army Aircraft platforms
- Be familiar with Cross Domain Solutions
- Have industry recognized certifications such as Network , Security or CCNA
- Be familiar with inventory management of hardware
- Be familiar with Air Worthiness Process
- Be familiar with Aviation Ground Power System, such as the AGPU
- Be familiar with AirBand (Radio Configuration for Aircraft missions)
- Be familiar with Military Training Standards, possibly including curriculum development
- Have software development or test experience
- Have experience with GIS Mapping Systems
- Be familiar with DoD forms.
