Job Summary
The successful candidate will be entrusted with the comprehensive oversight of daily and monthly operations within the entirety of the Licensing and Compliance (L&C) Department. This role involves a dynamic interplay of leadership reporting, staff recruitment, performance appraisal, and ensuring the accountability of all team members. The supervisor will be the linchpin ensuring that tasks assigned to the Licensing team are executed with efficiency, precision, and completeness, all within the agreed service level parameters.

Primary Responsibilities
- Steer the daily and monthly operations of the L&C Department.
- Provide leadership with insightful reports on operational metrics and close-out status.
- Oversee staff recruitment, conduct reviews, and evaluate performance.
- Monitor and manage employees’ attendance and punctuality.
- Uphold a high level of accountability among all team members.
- Keep a close eye on work volumes across various systems.
- Foster collaboration with peers and team members to ensure seamless workflows.
- Identify and eliminate operational inefficiencies and backlogs.
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of process enhancements.
- Conduct random quality audits of work and phone calls (if applicable).
- Resolve complex issues and manage escalated situations and calls.
- Prepare insightful daily, monthly, quarterly, annual reports to monitor productivity, accuracy, and trends.
- Lead projects as assigned, ensuring successful completion.
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience with proven leadership qualities and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in the life insurance industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with NIPR and State Department of Insurance Websites is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and follow-up effectively.
- Strong research, analytical skills, and proficiency with math.
- Unwavering attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with salespersons (new and experienced) and strong personalities.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
