Job Overview:
Integrity Support Solutions is seeking compassionate, reliable, and patient Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide care and support to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and various other diagnoses. In this specific case, DSPs will be responsible for maintaining the safety of, and supporting the emotional and physical needs of a young man, and following his personalized behavior support plan.
Integrity Support Solutions is seeking compassionate, reliable, and patient Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide care and support to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and various other diagnoses. In this specific case, DSPs will be responsible for maintaining the safety of, and supporting the emotional and physical needs of a young man, and following his personalized behavior support plan.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support for individual, including assisting with daily living skills, emotional regulation, and community integration.
- Follow behavior support plans to manage and prevent self-injurious behaviors such as biting, hitting, and property destruction.
- Engage individual in positive and productive activities, providing supervision during outings, ensuring his safety in public, and assisting him with routine tasks.
- Manage and document any self-injurious behaviors, incidents, or property damage, and communicate effectively with supervisors and individual’s support team.
- Monitor and de-escalate situations to prevent emotional outbursts, including identifying behavioral triggers and using approved interventions.
- Be prepared to safely intervene if individual engages in self-harming behaviors.
- Transport individuals to activities in the community, including trips to Walmart, the gym, the mall, and other preferred locations.
- Collaborate with individual's mother and support team to follow structured routines and maintain consistent care.
- Maintain strict boundaries while building a rapport with individual, ensuring his emotional and psychological needs are met.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with Autism, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Cognitive Disorders, and behavioral challenges preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral intervention techniques and a willingness to learn and follow a specific behavior support plan.
- Must be patient, empathetic, and able to remain calm during behavioral episodes.
- Strong verbal communication skills; must be able to report incidents clearly and accurately.
- Must have reliable transportation to accompany individual during community outings.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Training in crisis management, de-escalation, or a willingness to complete training is required.
- Physical capability to assist individual when necessary, including preventing elopement and managing aggressive behaviors.
Shifts Available:
- Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
- Monday – Friday 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (40 hours/week)
- Saturday – Sunday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (16 hours/week))
- Saturday – Sunday 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (16 hours/week)

Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and acceptable motor vehicle record preferred
- Must pass Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check and drug test
- Possess or be able to acquire certification in First Aid and CPR
