Title: Estimator
Reports to: Plant Manager
Summary:
The estimator will be responsible for RFQ’s and submitting formal quotes on time to the customer under direction from Management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform estimating duties – cost breakdowns, formal quotes
- Determine mold requirements – (lifters, slide drops, etc.)
- Determine material costs
- Determine amount of hours/labor costs
- Research actual cost of previous jobs to apply to new similar quotes
- Be familiar with customer standards
- Be current with steel and component prices
- Get feedback from Program Managers on our quoted pricing and timing
- Get RFQ/data from customers
- Start Quote in Salesforce CPQ - use the mold concept PowerPoint to start the quote in Salesforce
- Knowledge of injection molds
- Prefer 2 years post-secondary in related field
- Prefer 3 years’ experience in estimating
- Good understanding of CAD software
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attitude towards the company in which they are employed
- Work in a professional manner and be mindful of other employees
- Work required hours as per current department workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- OSHA training
