The Global Tax Department is seeking a Global Tax Planning Director to join its Tax Planning team playing an integral role in leading global supply chain tax planning and structuring as Intel launches new products and business initiatives including expansion of manufacturing operations in the U.S., Europe and Asia. The ideal candidate will have deep subject matter expertise in outbound U.S. International tax law, with supply chain experience, and lead a team of tax experts based in India, Malaysia, and Vietnam. The candidate should be experienced in managing a tax team with strong communication skills to collaborate with functional business leaders and support government incentive negotiations. This is a high visibility leadership position, and it is based in Santa Clara, California with remote work arrangement available for candidates based within Pacific and Central time zones. The position reports to the Vice President Finance – Global Tax Planning & Controversy.
Job responsibilities:
Design and implement strategic global tax efficient manufacturing supply chain structures for new products and SAAS initiatives in EMEA and Greater Asia.
Design and plan for integration of acquired companies with existing supply chain and operating flows collaborating with M&A, transfer pricing and indirect tax teams.
Collaborate and advise Business Unit leadership on launch of new business initiatives, their tax efficient structure and resulting global tax impact.
Support manufacturing site expansion tax incentives and government negotiations.
Collaborate with Tax Operations team on tax provision matters associated with acquisition, divestiture and global tax planning.
Analyze tax impacts and advise Tax Operations team on tax reporting matters resulting from U.S. and international tax legislative and regulatory developments.
Collaborate with Transfer Pricing team to advise strategies on intercompany transactions for operations in Greater Asia region.
Oversee local country tax reporting and controversy matters in India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Korea, and Australia.
MST, J.D. or LLM with 13 years of experience in the tax function at a multinational corporation, or public accounting/law firms.
Strong quantitative skills and deep technical knowledge of US international taxation provisions (e.g., subpart F, GILTI, FTC, FDII, BEAT).
Excellent research skills, including effective writing and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively with cross functional non-tax teams and meet targeted deadlines for project completion.
