What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Product Owner position at Intel?
The Platform and Security Services Organization is seeking a Product Owner to support Intel's big bet platforms. The Platform and Security Services (PSS) team is responsible for the security vulnerability scanning and compliance of Intel's compute endpoints (including configuration compliance), security patching governance and remediation, and hardware and software asset management.
The Asset Management Product Owner role requires expertise in hardware and software asset management, including database and data visualization management/design to drive integration of business data, functions, and systems.
You will lead a DevOps team of Analytics and Information Security professionals responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Intel's first ever Asset Data Mart, which includes over 700 million network connected hardware and software asset records. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, software developers, and various business unit contacts to ensure assets are visible and effectively managed, thereby reducing cyber risk to Intel.
Job responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
- Create/influence the vision for Intel's Asset Analytics capability and drive execution of that vision through the team.
- Manage work and scope prioritization, set the objectives that will maximize the value of asset analytics and the work of the Delivery Team.
- Partner with key stakeholders - within IT, business groups, vendors, and the team - to deliver on committed solutions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Agile and Scrum practices; create and prioritize features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and manage the product backlog.
- Set clear direction for the Delivery Team and be flexible when priorities change based on user/business needs and requirements.
- Support IT and Intel programs with meaningful analytics and reporting solutions that help drive proper management of IT assets.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Security, Management Information Systems or any other related field; or 6 years of IT/Service Management/Product Owner/Manager experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- 5 years of experience supporting Information Security and/or Information Technology operations and service delivery
- 3 years of experience applying Application/Software Development Life Cycle, Agile DevOps, SAFe model
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Project Management, or any other science/engineering related field
- 3 years of experience in Project/Program Management
Experience in:
- Various Information Security functions: governance, policies, applications, threat intelligence, awareness/training, vulnerability management, risk management, and architecture
- Agile/SAFe development methodologies
- Using Rally/JIRA Align agile tools
- Data analytics, data modeling, and management of large data sets, including SQL Server (SSIS) and Power BI
- Service Management or similar field
- Software development best practices
Industry certifications for Product Owner, Information Security, and/or Service Management (CISM, CISSP, ITIL, ServiceNow CSA/CAD)
