What are the responsibilities and job description for the SoC Design Engineer position at INTEL?
The Advanced Design Library Technology group plays a leading role in designing standard cell libraries for Intel's next generation technologies. Acting in a highly-visible pathfinding capacity, you will help bridge the gap between design and process development by bringing critical design perspective to technology definition as well as aiding design teams in maximizing the benefits of new technology nodes.
As an SoC Design Engineer in the Standard Cell Development team, your responsibilities may include standard cell library content definition and circuit implementation, standard cell layout architecture definition and design rule closure, circuit design and layout optimization for performance and EM/electrical robustness, standard cell modeling and characterization, high-sigma analysis for Vmin validation.
QualificationsYou must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum:
M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Engineering or in a Physical Science with 9 months of academic or professional work in the following areas:
Digital, mixed-signal, memory, and/or analog CMOS circuit design for low-power and high-speed VLSI
Semiconductor device physics and scaling
Technology design rules, process development, and process integration
