Job Description Primary responsibilities include but not limited to: - Designs framework for Memory sub-system functions (including memory controller/PHY, applicable globals, interface to NOC, RAS, etc.) within an SoC. - Defines, documents and tests processes for inclusion into technical platforms, subsystem specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. - Identifies, analyzes and resolves subsystem and/or SoC design weaknesses. - Influences the shaping of future products by significantly contributing to the architecture used across design families. - Provides multilayered technical expertise for next generation initiatives. - Responsible for defining Memory and RAS Frontend Architecture and Micro-architecture. - Drive the selection of various interface and functional IPs. - Work with Design and Verification leads on feature scoping, trade-off analysis and design implementation phasing plans, Verification recommendations, Design and Verification plan reviews. - Interface with Physical Design during timing clocking reviews and convergence issues, Power-Performance, and post-Silicon Validation team during Power-ON and post-Si Val. - Perform performance and performance/watt modeling, estimate gate count, power using System C, Simics, NOC studio, Platform Architect, other tools. - Lead the performance model definition and development. - Participate in design reviews of hardware and related software systems. Collaborate with internal and external team members on architectural decisions, development flows and methodologies. Qualifications This position involves work on US Government Contracts and/or proposals for US Government Contracts that limit participation to US Citizens. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or associated discipline with 12 years of relevant experience. Or a Master's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or associated discipline with 10 years of relevant experience.
