JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with management and the Board to deliver meaningful financial and operating metrics, analytics and reports with which to manage the business, drive insight into the key value levers of the business, and enable revenue and profit growth;
- Generate analyses to support and test key business decisions (return on investment, buy / build alternatives, add-on opportunities, etc.);
- Prepare all necessary financial reports internally and externally (profitability by product, retention rates, etc.);
- Present findings and make recommendations to management and the Board;
- Work closely with senior management in the annual budgeting process and in tracking;
- Financial results vs. budget and prior years’ performance;
- Help prioritize expenditure / investment initiatives;
- Bring a skill set focused on establishing and driving discipline into the finance organization and providing proactive visibility to the business;
- Leading an outcome-oriented annual budget process and partnering with the business leaders to create visibility into the business on a weekly cadence; and
- Enable the processes that translate finance and accounting into business performance and impact through improving the quality of data, business insight, and decision making.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, or Finance;
- 5 years of financial analysis experience;
- 5 years of experience presenting financial forecasts and analyses to C-level executives;
- 5 years of experience working in a private equity, venture capital, or software company;
- 5 years of experience preparing EACH of the following:
o Financial statements;
o Board reporting; and
o P&L reviews covering revenue.
- 5 years of experience with software business operations;
- 5 years of experience researching, organizing, and planning multi-month financial modeling/analysis projects;
- 5 years of experience calculating Pro Forma EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization);
- 5 years of experience forecasting Pro Forma EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization);
- 4 years of experience with acquisition integrations;
- 4 years of experience with valuation review analysis; and
- Experience may be gained concurrently.
