Description/Job Summary
This position reports to the General Manager of Minigrip LLC, Seguin, TX. The position will manage all warehouse operations including shipping and receiving, multiple inventory locations, safety functions related to the loading and unloading of inventory and receiving of goods.
The effectiveness of this position may be measured by the degree of success achieved in producing forecasted volume requirements, meeting or being below variable cost, managing and reporting a fixed expense budget, limiting the percentage of customer charge backs, staffing and safety performance.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Responsible for supporting the scheduling of customer shipments, maintaining the Consumer Business inventory levels, moving and counting inventory.
- Work with Supply Chain Department to define requirements for logistical functions and ensure that the implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed these requirements as well as customer expectations and audits.
- Develop and maintain an import receiving strategy that improves the receipt of imported product. All Federal Import/Export Customs Compliance requirements, laws, and regulations will be strictly adhered to while adhering to all internal controls.
- Develop a domestic logistics and warehousing plan that periodically analyzes all methods of freight transportation and inventory distribution for cost improvement, simplicity, and process improvement.
- Supervise the daily execution of shipping, receiving, safety, and inventory management processes.
- Initiation of Capital project planning complete with EAR submission and ROI analysis
- Assist operations with meeting and/ or exceeding production objectives by closely monitoring inventory levels and sales forecast.
- Monitor, report, and initiate action on results of efficiencies, quality, and costs. Prepare routine reports for submission to management.
- Determine and ensure appropriate staffing, capacity to meet current and forecasted production requirements.
- Ensure that the workplace is safe, professional, clean, and conforms to good manufacturing practices and a"5s" style organizational program.
- Identify and implement cost savings initiatives as they pertain to shipping, inventory control, and global supply chain management.
- Generate ideas and initiate actions with regard to equipment, training, staffing, systems, and general operations improvements.
- Create strong relationships and work closely with all Minigrip operations in sharing knowledge, resources, technology, cost savings ideas, and product / process improvements.
- Responsible for complying with all OSHA & MSDS Regulations and Minigrip safety program.
- Oversee fair and consistent administration of all Inteplast Minigrip policies, work rules, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and skill development.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, directed or in accordance with designated responsibilities.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing leadership capacity
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, ability to interact with customers, suppliers, and all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong PC skills/ very proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to interpret and understand P & L Statements
- Experience in Warehouse, Inventory, and Shipping
- Ability to forecast monthly material and labor costs.
- Proven problem-solving leadership skills in a team environment.
- Experience in Quality Management Systems
- Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
- Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
Salary : $68,500 - $86,800
