InterCare is seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician who can evaluate, diagnose and treat InterCare’s diverse patient populations. This will take place in a compassionate, ethical and professional manner, resulting in comprehensive medical guidance that meets/exceeds standards of care. The successful Physician candidate will be part of a team dedicated to improving the delivery and quality of health care that is patient-centered, safe and effective in a fast-paced environment.

DUTIES AND RE SPONSIBILITIES:
- Examines diagnoses and treats patients for acute injuries, infections, and illnesses
- Counsels and educates patients about acute and chronic conditions or concerns
- Promote patient satisfaction and provide excellent customer service
- Formulates diagnostic and treatment plans
- Prescribes and administers medication
- Orders lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan
- Provides advice and follow up: and refers appropriate care to specialists when needed
- Enters patient information into the EHR system completely and accurately
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules
Requirements
Description of Contributing Attributes
The candidate we are looking for will have experience in multiple patient care areas. Physician candidates must be a graduate of an MD or DO degree program, completion of Residency Program; Board Certified; must be licensed in the state of Michigan; have DEA Certification: controlled substance license and BLS Certification. Prior clinical experience; urgent care and/or outpatient clinic experience preferred. Have the ability to formulate differential diagnosis, be proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans, can effectively function in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, have outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, takes initiative, be creative, has problem solving ability, is adaptable, and flexible. Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, frequently sit, and lift up to 25 lbs
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, reach with arms & hands, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and manipulate (using keyboard, office equipment)
- Visual acuity to use keyboard, operate office equipment, and read printed material and regularly required to talk and hear.
