Accountabilities
- Service existing Audio Visual (AV) systems
- Supplement and support AV service tickets
- Ensure quality and working solution
- Remote Support
- Troubleshoot with external and internal resources remotely.
- Remotely diagnose client systems and provide solutions that do not require a service technician’s physical presence.
- Tier 2 escalation.
- Triage support tickets.
- Internal showroom AV support.
- Communicate completion or open issue(s) with Service Coordinator.
- Clean up work areas at customer sites and secure tools at the end of each day.
- Proactively learn program and application knowledge pertaining to products offered.
- Complete and file service call tickets.
- Provide backup support to the AV Service Help Desk with service tickets and RMA tracking.
- Provide back up support for other Service Technicians.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
- 5 years of experience in AV service or a technician role.
- Expert knowledge of Crestron, Q-Sys, and Shure Software.
- Expert knowledge of commercial AV.
- QSC level 2 and Dante level 2 certification preferred, but not required.
- Advance troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to read and understand schematics.
- Ability to travel to customer sites.
- Physical ability to lift 50lbs, squat, kneel and climb ladders from 8-12 ft.
- Comfortability working in ceilings and tight spaces.
- Comfortability sitting for an extended period of time.
- Ability to take multiple support calls a day.
- Customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and ability to safely use power tools and hand tools.
- Organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision.
- Experience with audio visual presentation equipment.
- CTS or PLT certification preferred.
