Position summary:
It is the responsibility of the palletizer to ensure that boxes of carpet are properly identified, stacked on the correct pallet size, and that the production is accurately recorded. Palletizer checks run schedule for special packaging or stack-off instructions.
Educational requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Skills and experience:
Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Good communication skills, written and verbal.
Essential duties:
Check run numbers in AS 400 and on schedule for special instructions.
Operate palletizer control panel
Insure all mock up boxes are stacked off per schedule.
Print labels
Apply correct label to box
Record date, shift, pallet number and cutting line number on label on top of each pallet
Record box count per pallet and pallet count per run
Maintain housekeeping
Comply with safety rules
Comply with environmental regulations
Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Ensure ISO procedures are followed.
Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.
Perform other duties as assigned
Physical demands:
Repetitively lifting 50-60 pounds
Standing throughout 8-10 hour shifts
Work environment:
Non-climate controlled manufacturing environment.
