Material Handler II
Monday - Friday
5am - 1:30pm
Position Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for material inventory, material handling, and preparing shipments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
Material Handling
- Maintain accurate inventory counts in the inventory management system
- Organize and store material inventory effectively and safely
- Operate forklift and other powered equipment
- Pull, stage and store raw materials
- Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
- Pull raw materials from inventory for use on work orders and non-production related inventory requests
- Report incidents, safety concerns, and equipment issues to supervisor
- Weigh finished goods and raw materials and update the inventory system in a timely manner
- Relocate finished goods and raw materials to a physical inventory location and updated the location in ERP
- Perform sample Retain processes including storage, relocating, and disposal
- Perform slow-moving inventory counts at all locations quarterly, seek disposition of slow-moving materials, and follow through with disposition action items
- Ensure inbound, outbound, and quality-hold materials are well organized
- Label materials correctly
- Assist with receiving inbound materials in the inventory system
- Ensure all stock has been allocated to work orders correctly
- Drive company truck as necessary
- Load and unload trucks as necessary
- May serve as backup for Production Planner
- Assist other areas of operation as needed
- Comply with all quality standards
- Comply with all safety and housekeeping policies
- Any and all other duties assigned
Essential Education, Skills and Experience:
- Commitment to safety of self and others
- Commitment to quality
- Valid DL and good driving record
- Ability to obtain interstate medical card for operation of company truck
- Operate material handling equipment – forklifts, pallet jacks etc.
- Be able to lift heavy items on a regular basis
- Prolonged standing
- Ability to multi task
- Attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
- Work self directed as needed
- Any and all other duties assigned
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
