Summary: The Mortgage Post Closing Collateral Shipper reports to the Post Closing Manager and is responsible for ensuring all closing packages are received and processed within deadlines. This role interacts with other members of the closing team and other departments and externally with Warehouse Bank representatives.
Responsibilities:
• Receives closing packages each day from carrier
• Logs date information into the Loan Operation System (LOS)
• Validates that closing packages have been uploaded to the imaging platform
• Pulls collateral (Note) and prepares allonges for daily delivery to the Warehouse Bank
• Calls Title Company on any package not received within 48 hours of funding
• Monitors Warehouse Banks daily and resolves any exceptions identified
• Registers each loan in the MERS system daily
• Assists Trailing Docs as needed
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum Required Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent, and one or more years of mortgage related experience; or equivalent of combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
- Associates degree or greater.
- Prior experience in post closing strongly preferred.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; highly responsive
• Strong organization skills with attention to details and deadlines
• Must be able to work in a high volume, fast paced environment with ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Demonstrate initiative and reliability
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Other:
Regular responsibilities of this role require that the incumbent reports work at the IMC onsite office location in Rosemont, Illinois daily. This role will be required to work onsite daily.
