The Interfolio Client Services (Implementation and Consulting) team continues to develop and engage with larger and more complicated clients, while Interfolio is both improving existing modules and creating new tools to support faculty, administrators, and higher education at large. We have identified the need for experts on our products and in the higher education space who can guide our partners through product implementation and process improvement, leading to Interfolio becoming a core part of the institutional ecosystem. As Interfolio continues to grow and expand our operations, our work increases in complexity and requires the support of subject-matter and implementation experts to support our teams and help guide our strategy.
Interfolio Consultants are specialists in higher education and faculty administration, lending their experience and expertise to the successful implementation of high-touch, complex clients through both the use of Interfolio products and services designed to ensure success and institutional development. Consultants simultaneously deliver value to the company by leveraging experience and expertise to support sales, product development, and day-to-day operations.
To achieve this mission and strategy, a Consultant would:
- Work with Professional Services leadership to execute the company mission of further developing the Faculty Information System.
- Ability to manage multiple client and internal projects simultaneously, ability for context switching between projects and stakeholders.
- Serve as a SME for the Interfolio Faculty Information System products and services.
- Outstanding time management, calendar management, and general project management skills.
- Demonstrate superior presentation, organization, project leadership, and meeting facilitation skills.
- Ability to identify issues, provide solutions, implement those solutions, and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Coordinate with Project Manager for successful adoption, configuration, and deployment of products and services.
- Empower customers and implementation team members to connect their goals and challenges with the features of the appropriate products and services.
- Spearhead internal cross-functional improvement projects while maintaining and building documentation to support consulting services.
- Support sales enablement by educating sales and account management teams on product functionality, services, and client needs, while also serving as an advocate for clients and a resource maximization agent for the company.
- Introduce and drive change activities to help clients transform their process and to recognize the greatest value from technology-driven initiatives
- Ensure clients see time to value during implementation by proactively removing roadblocks and providing field expertise to our client base
- Provide guidance, advice, feedback, and support to junior team members and assigned mentee(s).
To fulfill these roles, a Consultant has:
- Experience and working knowledge of higher education operations policy, governance, and finance, as well as current knowledge of the higher education landscape. These include the ability to collect, synthesize, and report on various higher education topics for various stakeholders.
- Direct experience with faculty, faculty affairs, or university administration (at the College, School, or University level).
- A functional understanding of modern SaaS technology and how it functions, including integrations, APIs, and data relationships.
- Excellent communication skills - oral and written - and the interpersonal skills needed to quickly establish relationships of trust and collaboration.
- The ability to manage multiple projects of differing scale and duration with agility and excellence.
- A desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies.
- Project Management and/or software implementation experience is preferred.
- Experience and expertise with the Interfolio suite of products or other SaaS tools is preferred.
