POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible to work independently in providing repairs and preventative maintenance for hospital clientsBiomedicalequipment. This position is required to maintain records, document results and coordinates outside resources for repairs. Response times are measured to achieve customerrequirements andsatisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs repairs and calibrations to biomedical equipment andmaintainsassociated recordsbyfiling accurately and timelyreportswithDispatcher.
- Solve problems utilizing analytical thought processwhich may involve multiple contactswith internal and external resources.
- Assistother personnelas required.
- Interactswith vendors. Researchresources and suppliers.
- Complieswith facilityand companypolicy and procedureguidelines.
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Conducts and maintains duties, personal appearance, interactions with fellow employees, staff, and customers in aprofessional manner.
- To comply with ongoing educational opportunities provided.Uses unassigned time to increase knowledge on technology and procedures.
- Understands and works well with the auditing agencies and their requirements i.e., ACHA, TJC.
- Understands NFPA-99 and electrical leakage limits with good understanding of biological parameters (monitoring; HR/Pulse O2/O2 sat/pressures/etc.)
- AssistsSeniorManagement as needed.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Two-year degree from an accredited school in electronics or equivalent military experience.
- Three to five years experiencepreferred or greater.
- Completed internship with accredited program.
- Strong communications and organizational skills.
- Must havegood attention to detail.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
Requires frequent (60% to 80% of the time) standing, walking, and bending for long periods of time. Requires frequent (40% to 60% of the time) sitting and working on a computer screen. Requires constant ability to drive and move freely about the customers offices which could include climbing stairs and reaching in cabinets. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Lifts up to 50 pounds regularly.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires constant contact with staff and public. Work is performed in air conditioned/heated facilities. Requires exposure to outside elements up to 10% of the time.
