InterMoor Inc is looking to add a Document Controller to the team in Houston on a long-term contract basis. The Document Controller is responsible for effectively managing the flow of documentation within InterMoor. The successful candidate is highly organized, principled, and is an important voice in the success of the organization. The Document Controller works closely and collaboratively with the engineering team, operations team, fabrication team, managers, and staff in meeting the mission and strategic goals of the company.
This position is intended as a 6-month contract assignment in support of ongoing and future projects. The company would be open to discussion of contract extension and/or permanent hire at the end of the contract period, depending on anticipated resource requirements and market conditions.
Duties
- Copy, scan, and store documents
- Check for accuracy and edit files, like contracts
- Review and update technical documents (e.g. manuals and workflows)
- Distribute project-related copies to internal teams
- File documents in physical and digital records
- Create templates for future use
- Retrieve files as requested by employees and clients
- Manage the flow of documentation within the organization
- Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement
- Prepare ad-hoc reports on projects as needed
Required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferred
- 2-3 years relevant experience in Document Control
- Must be independent, resourceful and a good team player
- Good initiative, interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with project management
- Basic knowledge of labor
- Hands-on experience with MS Office and MS Excel
- Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
- Proficient typing and editing skills
- Data organization skills
- Attention to detail
