Bilingual (Japanese & English) Logistics Coordinator / Agent / Assistant / Clerk (Entry-level)

Position: Full-time with benefits.

Job location: Itasca, IL

Our client is one of the well-known Japanese logistics companies. We are currently looking for an entry-level bilingual (Japanese and English) logistics coordinator for our client.

Some of the main roles:

• Handle export and import, and air and ocean shipment, using Japanese and English language skills.
• Prepare paper work required for import and export.
• Provide support to customers, other branches and the overseas office in Japanese and English.
• Search and plan the most efficient way to ship items according to customers’ requests.
• Prepare quote.

• Identify appropriate packaging based upon climate, weight, cost, and etc..
• Coordinate with carriers and the 3rd-party vendors to arrange shipment.
• Communicate with warehouse.
• Arrange insurance for delivery.
• Trace shipment.
• Issue invoice.
• Contact U.S. Customs as needed.

Some of the minimum qualification requirements:

• Fluent in Japanese and English.
• Able to use Excel.
• A valid US driver’s license and a car. (Please note that there is no public transportation near the facilities.)

• A high school diploma or higher education.
• Able to start in 2 weeks once you receive a job offer.
• Authorized to work in the US permanently without a visa sponsorship.
• If you have previous customer service or assistant exp, that's a big plus. However, that's not required.
• Detail-oriented. Great communication skills in Japanese and English to work with other people. A team player.

Compensation: $17 to $22 /hr DOE a discretionary bonus.

Regular work hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (one-hour unpaid lunch), Monday through Friday.

Relocation support: No.
