Overview

IDG, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Senior Financial Analyst to join our team! Reporting to the Director of Corporate Finance, this role will be responsible for financial analysis and reporting at the business unit and corporate level.  A successful candidate should possess advanced skills in financial and data analysis, including proficiency with three-statement financial modeling and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. Additionally, the candidate should exhibit strong written and speaking skills, and have experience working cross-functionally to move related projects forward. The role will include oversight within Corporate Finance of all financial analysis and reporting activities including the general and custom development of reporting within our new D365 ERP system currently being implemented.  They will support related financial and corporate decision makers at all levels of IDG, Inc. They will also work closely with management to meet their financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analytical, reporting, planning, and forecasting duties at both the business unit and companywide level
  • Provide written analysis on financial performance metrics at the consolidated, business unit, and product lines levels
  • Ensuring compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations, develop and analyze key business performance metrics and identify performance improvement opportunities
  • Develop financial projections through robust financial modeling that includes organic and inorganic growth sectors of the business
  • Provide strategic financial insights when performing analysis and reporting which includes creating data visualizations and presentations
  • Design processes that enhance the accuracy and timeliness of our overall financial reporting and analysis process
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and financial analysis to Corporate and the Business Units as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • At least five to seven years of experience within corporate finance and/or financial planning and analysis organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with all levels of personnel at corporate and business units
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI, Power Query) and ERP solutions such as Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics 365,
  • Financial Planning tools such as Tableau, Hyperion, One Stream, or Adaptive Insights
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrate ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize workloads with a high degree of accuracy and minimal supervision in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to interpret data and provide relevant conclusions and recommendations
  • Self-starter with a desire to learn and grow in a team environment 
  • Nice to have: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or MBA
