The Job You Will Perform :
- Ensures compliance with all safety and quality policies, procedures and standards
- Set-up and mounting of Flexo plates
- Quality control in the, raw materials, printing plates, mounting tape, and cylinders
- Optical Mounting, proofing, Quality Control
- Operates overhead crane, computers; and forklift, as needed.
- Review and understand order instructions and any other necessary paperwork to ensure fully what is required to produce a quality product.
- Complete daily housekeeping in order to maintain a safe and clean environment / Perform weekly audits as scheduled.
- Able to lift and / or move up to 70lbs
- Maintain plate storage system
- Reading factory orders
- Accurately reading gauges and other test equipment
- Utilizing basic shop math, inspecting
- Accurately completing quality and administrative documents and following directions
- This person will also be assigned to clean-up functions such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, as well as picking up, assist press crew with basic press tasks when time allows.
- All other duties as assigned
The Skills You Will Bring :
- Exceptional focus on safety and quality as well as, participation in required training.
- Experience manufacturing Print Plates is desirable but not required.
- Experience in graphic arts field is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Attention to detail including specifications, data tracking and machine profile requirements
- Shift work and overtime required.
- Strong mathematical, mechanical, perceptual and visualization skills
- Must have computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Must be able to lift and / or move 60lbs and occasionally move up to 70lbs.
- Positive attitude and a desire to produce quality work as part of a team
- Experience in the corrugated industry is a plus
- Maintain plate storage system
- Reading factory orders
