Work Arrangement: Fully Remote Job Overview: The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is one of the leading providers of high-quality programming for refugees resettling to the United States. The IRC is seeking a Training Officer for Switchboard, an Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR)-funded program. Switchboard is a one-stop resource hub for refugee service providers in the United States. Switchboard provides training and capacity-building services to ORR-funded refugee service providers in the United States, including resettlement agencies and affiliates, state agencies, ethnic community-based organizations, and others. The Training Officer will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of capacity-building initiatives related to employment with a focus on Matching Grant. This position will provide training and capacity building to current Matching Grant program staff across the U.S. in areas including job readiness and workplace literacy, initial job placement, household budgeting and financial literacy, and family self-sufficiency. This staff will help field offices identify opportunities, build and monitor sustainable, cost-effective workforce programs and services that promote early employment services to newcomers’ workforce development, economic well-being and family self-sufficiency. . The Training Officer will support the development and implantation of the Matching Grant Program and educate service providers on best practices regarding building strategic partnership with employers, community partners, adult education providers and other stakeholders. The Training Officer will ensure field staff are equipped to promote strong, contextualized implantation of early employment programming to insure refugee and newcomer economic mobility.
