What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Representative position at International Student Exchange?
International Student Exchange is a non-profit high school exchange program founded in 1982 that sponsors approximately 2,500 high school students each year. We are looking for individuals to join our team as Area Representatives. This position is an excellent opportunity for retired individuals, stay at home parents, and those in the education field.
The Area Representative develops and maintains relationships with local high schools and volunteer host families. Our ARs are remote independent contractors compensated for the amount of students they match with host families and/or supervise during their time on the program. Many ARs are very active working with several exchange students each year while others work with one student at a time. Your earning potential has no limit. Bonuses and travel incentives can be earned. We have comprehensive training and managers that are motivated to help you succeed in this role, so prior experience is not a requirement.
Key duties include:
- Contacting local high schools to secure acceptance for exchange students
- Recruiting and screening volunteer host families in your community
- Providing supervision, guidance, and support for the students throughout the program
Successful candidates have:
- Excellent people skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Self motivation and goal-oriented minds
- A love for working with teenagers and cultivating relationships
Candidates must be 25 years of age, have access to a computer and reliable transportation. Due to the nature of the position, candidates must agree to a Criminal Background Check.
