Job Title: sr Supervisor, Operations Job Description: CMC Materials, Inc. is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with knowledge of SolidWorks to join our global engineering team! Helping to enable the next generation of semiconductor manufacturing; We are the industry leading supplier of slurries that are used for the important semiconductor processing step, chemical-mechanical planarization (CMP). The Senior Mechanical Engineer works alongside internal partners as a key technical contributor on various engineering and manufacturing project throughout our innovative production facility in Reno, Nevada. Responsibilities: Lead all aspects of our machine shop including designing, manufacturing, and fabricating, high quality, precise parts Establish setup of manufacturing operations, machining tools and equipment Responsible for creating SOPs for process control Responsible for training staff as operations ramp up Responsible for establishing and scheduling workflows to achieve production expectations Maintain and run manufacturing process control analytical equipment Analyze and produce technical reports for customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of those designs and applications Design and conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, operation, and performance of equipment, components, and systems Coordinate maintenance of manufacturing tools including CNC milling machines, dicing saws, and lasers, as well as routine calibrations on lab analytical equipment Support a design/technical team in achieving specific projects and while coordinating other engineers (electronics and testing) within the department to produce multidisciplinary design solutions Produce designs to customer requirements according to specified goals to achieve the required timescales Perform Process improvement experiments Equipment and facilities upgrades / expansions. Familiarity with climate or environmental control Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Machine Tool Technology, or equivalent experience. 5 years of relevant engineering experience. 2 years of experience with SolidWorks and CAMWorks CAD Detailed knowledge of machine tool technology, material and materials testing is required. Experience using analytical equipment calibration and maintenance. Experienced working in a clean-room or controlled environment a plus Experience with programming of vertical and horizontal milling, hydraulic press, and CNC machines At CMC, we offer: A sense of belonging within a Global Organization and a way to connect to people around the world.
