Overview
Incumbent will fill a key role within the Accounting team. This position will support various aspects of accounting and finance for the company. The successful candidate will need to be effective and experienced in the general accounting function. The position requires solid accounting experience combined with strong analytical skills. The candidate will need to possess strong problem solving skills, work ethic, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with others. The position will support various aspects of the financial close cycle including, but not limited to journal entries, intercompany transactions, account reconciliations and accruals, while ensuring those comply with company’s regulations, professional standards and GAAP reporting guidelines. Duties could include, posting bi-weekly payroll, managing deferred rent schedules, managing the expense reporting system, managing monthly fixed asset accounting, preparing monthly prepaid analysis, as well other key monthly close responsibilities.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm EST
The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a wide range to comply with pay transparency laws in all states and geographical areas. Many factors, such as years of experience, geographical location, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.
Responsibilities
- Record monthly revenue, expenses, and activity for multiple legal entities.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts.
- Analyze and interpret statistical and accounting information to develop monthly accruals.
- Assist in month-end close, ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Work as a team within the Accounting department and assist in standardizing procedures
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses.
- Finds ways to streamline daily processes to deliver efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-3 years in progressive accounting position
- Advanced proficiency in MS suite of products including Excel required; Access, VBA/SQL skills a plus
- Highly computer literate with knowledge of general ledger and data base systems. Travcom and NetSuite experience is a plus
- Travel background preferred.

- Proven track record of academic and professional excellence
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Possess highly effective verbal and written communication skills
- Handle confidential information with complete integrity.
