ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

The following job functions are not all-inclusive.  The employee will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the supervisor.  Job duties may change as required by needs of company.

  1. Assemble and/or disassemble drum motor products using complex drawings or blueprints as reference sources.
  2. Perform equipment setup, operation, equipment adjustments and minor preventative maintenance tasks to meet all standards for safety, quality and efficiency.
  3. Run tests on all assemblies and equipment to test for safety and productivity before they are put into production.
  4. Perform test of final product utilizing test panels and customer specified set-up; troubleshoot failures and direct rework.
  5. Identifies any problems, they must identify potential solutions and attempt to troubleshoot the issue using their technical knowledge. Problems could be mechanical errors, safety issues or in identified inefficiency.
  6. Responsible for maintaining quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products to ensure the conform with specifications and codes. They do this before full-scale production begins, and periodically thereafter. Perform various operations in the work areas as assigned by the Supervisor. Responsibilities are subject to change based on supervisor’s direction.
  7. Operate production line hand tools/machinery and handle equipment starting and stopping activities during each designated shift.
  8. Complete daily production logs (may be manual entry or via scanner).
  9. Perform minor preventive maintenance (PMs) on production line machinery. Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
  10.  Must possess willingness to cross train in RMA’s when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

·         Possess at least two years of similar or related experience.

·         Possess the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.

·         Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, technical procedures, and regulations.

·         Possess basic production mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.    

·         Possess the ability to read and interpret a variety of machine gauges, monitors, and electronic instrument panels required in the set-up and production of products.

·         Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, bar graphs, blueprints, and procedure manuals.

·         Possess teamwork and strong interpersonal skills.  Possess the ability to communicate effectively with all Interroll employees in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner.

·         Possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram form.

·         Possess the ability to utilize measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.   Must have ability to wear/use approved applicable safety equipment


PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF JOB:  

This position requires constant standing, use of hands and fingers and eye-hand coordination.  This position requires frequent reaching with hands and arms, and occasional sitting, walking, talking, hearing, and turning or bending at waist.  Incumbent must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 75 pounds.  Good close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well depth perception and the ability to see colors and adjust focus are required.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

This position works indoors in a manufacturing (warehouse) environment.  Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold. This position is occasionally exposed oil, grease or dirt, and to the risk of electrical shock.  A loud noise level is typical for the work environment of this job.
