I-State Truck Center is a dealer for Western Star, Freightliner, Detroit Diesel, Mercedes, Cummins, CAT, Meritor & Eaton.
Warehouse Associates fulfills a critical role in our operations by answering phones, interface with customers, reference part numbers, provide assistance to customers, and participates in inventory.
They also provide support to the service department. This is a critical position in ensuring that the company is able to locate and secure parts for jobs to be completed in a timely manner.
Making sure we can access the parts in an efficient and cost effective manner ensures we are representing our customer’s best interest.
Scheduled Shift : 10 : 30am-7 : 00pm
Up to $25.00 per hour DOE
Job Duties :
- Read production schedule, orders (customer, work, shipping, requisition, etc.) to determine items to be removed, gathered, or distributed
- Transport materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
- Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distributes items to workers
- Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or transports orders to packing station or shipping department
- Mark materials with identifying information
- Open bales, crates and other containers
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
- Use computer to enter records
- Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications
- Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment
Desired Qualities / Skills :
- Experience operating forklifts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using Excel, Word, Outlook, etc., preferred
