The Utility Operator performs a variety of work duties in the manufacturing of insulated glass units. You will operate machinery and equipment, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- The Utility Operator Position will support multiple departments.
- Employees are required to train and develop competencies in a minimum of 4 positions to be identified based on business requirements to support customer demand.
- Operate, maintain, and clean manufacturing machinery and equipment
- Complete work orders and requests in a timely fashion
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Attention to detail
- Adhere to Safety rules and regulations
. Requirements: Skills Required:
- 2 yrs in a multi-employee team manufacturing environment
- Trained to operate 2 or more processes within the facility
- Equipment set-up, adjustment, and first piece inspection
- Operation of automated equipment with computer/PLC controls
- Visual inspection of the product (in-process quality checks)
- Fluent with measurement devices (tape measure, calipers. etc.)
- Ability to Lift 20 to 50 lbs
