Responsibilities: • Our SAP 3PL Logistics Consultant will responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and securing carriers to move available freight in a timely and cost-effective manner. Duties include but may not be limited to: • Provide general logistics operation support for all areas as needed. • Develop carrier relationships to secure freight coverage options using pre-qualified carrier database or by posting to load boards. • Perform track and trace functions to ensure on-time deliveries to customers. • Follow Domestic Transportation Compliance under industry regulations. • Serve as a Global IT SME on Client Logistics Execution, Warehouse management and third-party logistics interfaces in the Global SAP template and lead process analysis and redesign, gap analysis, and change management exercises in support of the global and regional harmonization. • Provide guidance to local and regional project teams to translate business requirements into configuration design and perform configuration and integration with external partners and other modules in the SAP system landscape. • Serve as a lead for solution design and delivery of SAP Enterprise Central Component ( "ECC”) and serve as the primary expert on all details regarding distribution and logistics processes and business requirements. • Engage with stakeholders in understanding business requirements, current system landscape and propose new solutions and applications that provide enhanced value from the Organization's perspective. • Lead SAP implementation partner team to formulate solutions for global processes and serve as an escalation point for regional production support or project issues. • Review, approve, and execute proposed configuration changes to SAP global systems. • Recommend and prepare documentation on best practices, business procedures, reporting, SAP configuration and master data maintenance. • Follow change control procedures, including the creation and ownership of business requirements, functional specifications, and testing. Identify areas of continuous improvement to reduce overall RUN support requirements • Review ERP enhancements and provide input/guidance thereby design best practices and leverage Global Usage of IT enhancements. • Deploy SAP ECC Interfaces with partner system using flat file, EDI, ALE, IDOC, XML technology. Get partner system and middleware systems (like SAP PI/PO) system requirement to provide an optimal data exchange among the systems for smooth business transaction. • Process internal administration documents. • Perform data and market analysis and support report creation. • Provide account development support. • Handle operation tasks for the freight brokerage. • Responsible for procurement. • General delegated duties to support management with flexibility Experience • Requires 6 years of experience in SAP S/4 HANA and/or SAP ECC configuration and testing activities • Minimum 2 years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry for a U.S. domestic freight. • Multiple (over 4) SAP implementation full life-cycle experience • Skilled at working with SAP ECC 6.0 Material Management, Shipping, Warehouse Management, 3rd Party logistics process and transportation • Skilled at working with Delivery/shipping configurations, returns management, storage type control, Haz. Mat. Handling, RF configuration, screen menu management, label printing, warehouse cockpits, freight forwarder management and integration and is expert with EDI-Idoc interfaces. Solid knowledge of system development methodology, project management and system architecture. Preferably involving the implementation of SAP ECC or S/4HANA, particularly Customer Service processes • Solid analytical / problem solving skills • Ability to evaluate IT and business challenges from a broad perspective. • Strong influencing and excellent communication skills. Ability to translate between non-technical business users and technical IT resources. • Strong client service attitude • Strong organizational and time management skills • Education and Certifications • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
