Position Summary
Director of IT, to support infrastructure, networking, telephony, and end user computing across our portfolio of growth oriented companies. In this role, the Director will be responsible for improving platform stability, modernizing older infrastructure and processes, reducing risk, and effectively supporting business operations throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as technology thought leader, responsible for proposing, planning, overseeing, and tracking infrastructure projects that enable our business while providing leadership, vision and direction to the information technology function.
- Track and manage system availability. Develop an ongoing program to consistently improve system availability and performance.
- Manage and coordinate all technology operations including the information technology infrastructure, information security measures and SaaS applications.
- Manage and support all internal technology needs including help desk, hardware management, regular maintenance, and upgrades.
- Develop and maintain IT policies and operational procedures.
- Establish controls and ensure compliance with all industry best practices in line with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Accountable for continuous operation and maintenance of IT systems and associated site infrastructure.
- Manage both process and business application improvement to ensure constant improvement and consistency.
- Oversee vendor-managed services and strike a balance between outsourcing and internalizing functions.
- Build strategic partnerships with key technology vendors and service providers to implement and support systems.
- Manage device management systems and processes which ensure all organization devices and software are running with latest security updates.
- Continually research and implement new technologies.
- Lead, coach and develop leaders of functional teams within scope of responsibility.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
- 10 - 15 years of work experience in a rapidly growing information technology function supporting multiple business functions including finance, HR, operations, sales, and customer service.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or Engineering.
- Experience leading information technology in a b2b or b2c company
- Demonstrated experience developing, leading, and supporting an IT vision and direction including developing long- and short-term strategic IT plans, developing the associated financial analyses and translating budgeted plans into tactical, actionable operational initiatives.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure systems, principles, theories and concept are required to develop and deliver innovative, novel and advanced infrastructure solutions
- Strong understanding of balancing customer priorities, delivering cost effective solutions, and driving business process optimization
- Ability to influence and drive cross-functionally at all levels and lead multiple high priority projects.
- Experience selecting and managing outside vendors and consultants.
- Ability to manage multiple rapidly changing priorities while ensuring detail-oriented and effective verbal and communication skills.
- Experience with the following enterprise platforms preferred: Windows Server, VMware vSphere, Microsoft 365, telephony systems and the like.
- Proven track record of successfully attracting, developing, and leading world-class teams
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills are required.
